The Red Spaces

The Red Spaces

The Red Spaces is a book that had been marinating in my skull for over twenty years. Now it’s available for purchase as of my 42nd birthday. Strange.

I first clicked save on The Ballad of Ariana Isabella and the South County Shooter in the winter of 2004/2005, somewhere in those cold months between watching the Red Sox break “The Curse” and first kissing my future wife. A few friends read it. They convinced me to change the title.

After so many years of ignored query letters and minor revisions, this year I decided to self-publish. Not for myself, mind you, but for the characters. I’m very fond of Ariana and Horace and I feel like I owe it to them.

I’m not out there pounding the pavement and blowing up Twitter to sell mad copies and get that cash. I am not that guy and this is not that book. It is not a ground-breaking new masterwork from an exciting new author. It is just my little story about stories, a signpost and a souvenir from another time. If you read it, I hope you enjoy it.

You can purchase The Red Spaces online at bn.com or in person at Barnes & Noble in Smithfield, RI.
